Straight heat alert. This dabow guy is from Argentina, he's 23 and he's made a name for himself as a producer the last few years. Working with some big names like the Mad Decent squad and Borgore. It's a high quality of music. Trap as fuck, and its not over done so I love it. It has the subtle glitch qualities I enjoy too. This RNDYSVGE I can;t find anything on. Get your mind right and turn these ones up.
The kids a genius. I've done a post on him before. He's pretty young, pretty sure he's on Jay-Z's payroll now. But it does a lot for me. I always recommend headphones or some nice speakers. Kids the real hype at 19. Happy Thanksgiving, I guess I'm thankful for music. It's usually pretty reliable, especially at 4am. Hope all is well in your life. Turn this one up.
A few great ones I was able to find. The River by son little reminds me of early Kings of Leon. He's got that Caleb Followill style. I don't usually post stuff like Hozier, but I'm really starting to respect him as a musician and songwriter. Its beautiful. Cherry fucking wine.. I was gonna post a live session but something about the cdq version. Enjoy.

Until I get these playlists up and running, I'm trying out different formats. I also wanna get a search bar going so you can just search a song or refer to the a playlist organized by my categories. Im digging these lately. A few different sub genres but check em out.

Chancellor Benent from Chicago. Chance has worked for Obama when he was a senator. Obviously more into music, he got suspended from high school for 10 days for pot. He then recorded a mix tape "10 Day." This tape got him a lot of attention. I heard 10 day after his tape "Acid Rap." Which to me was really important as i listened to this tape over and over when I was in a complex situation in my life this last winter. Not only lyrically talented, he has a conscious mind has a lot of, to me at least, important things to say. He makes you aware and really think about what he's saying. He's original. He gives me hope for hip hop.
Don't know too much about this Big Wild guy. He's from Venice, CA. He's got a few dates in the US opening for Odesza starting at the end of Novemeber. I can dig it. And Slugabed is a great name, he's in the UK making weird crazy glitch hop wobble. And the last one is a random chune. All random heaters in some way. Enjoy.
These group of guys started this project in LA back in 2005 but their debut "Gorilla Manor" didn't come out till 2009. The first two songs are off their debut and the last is off their latest album Hummingbird (2013). The debut was really important to me at the time and today. At the time I remember thinking how beautiful this stuff was. I found myself trying to harmonize and sing along all the time because he sings with such emotion. The second album is slightly darker then the first, results of some fame and touring maybe. But still great nonetheless.
This is a 5 piece from Oxford. I had a brief affair on their debut album "antidotes" back in 2008/2009 but hadn't really been keeping up to date with them. The first two songs are newer ones and the last one is off their debut. I was obviously drawn to them as a whole but I found my self really liking the musical composition. The percussion really stood out to me, in a good way. It was such a driven sound while dreamy at the same time. You can tell they've progressed. They've been nominated and won some cool awards. Won best live act in 2013 at the Q awards (assuming thats the big UK music magazine). Nominated for best album the same year as well as best act in the world today. They're on my list. Enjoy.
"What a time to be alive" has grown on me since its been out. I was slightly close minded about it at first, before this, not being too familiar with future. Its a direction. Its different from anything I've heard this year. Theres a couple songs I find myself skipping so that always says something and future isn't the most lyrically talented but him and his rapping style is something to appreciate. These are some of my favorites, I read that the cover of the album was a photo they grabbed from a famous photographer which is kinda lame they couldn't come up with something original but it is a beautiful photo of some diamonds if you haven't seen it.
Hella Chill is more low-key.
